Privacy Policy
BuildLumi is a set of calculators. It does not ask you for an account, and it does not track you with analytics or advertising.
Short version: calculator inputs stay in your browser, BuildLumi sets no tracking cookies, and the only personal data we are likely to hold is the server log and any email you send us.
Information we collect
Calculator inputs
The measurements and settings you type into a calculator are processed in your browser. They are not sent to our server and we do not store them.
Server logs
BuildLumi runs on a WordPress server that we manage. Like most web servers, it keeps logs of each request, which normally include your IP address, your browser’s user agent, the page requested, the date and time, and the response status. We keep these logs to secure the site, find errors and block abuse. We do not use them to build profiles of visitors.
Site search
If you use the search box, what you type may be sent to the server as part of the page address, and so may appear in the server log.
If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it to read and answer your message and to correct the site if you reported a mistake. We do not add you to a mailing list.
Cookies
BuildLumi does not set cookies for visitors. WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to the site, which is limited to the site’s administrators. The site does not offer comments or visitor accounts.
Analytics, advertising and third parties
The site does not use analytics and does not show advertising. Fonts are hosted on our own server, so your browser does not contact Google Fonts or any other font service. Some pages link to outside sites, such as manufacturer data sheets. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.
If we add analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this policy and describe what is collected before it goes live.
Children
BuildLumi is a general-audience tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data a site holds about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it is used. Because BuildLumi keeps no accounts or profiles, the only data we could hold is in server logs and in emails you have sent. To ask about it, write to [email protected]. We make no claim of certification under any particular privacy law.
Changes to this policy
We will post any change on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes, such as adding analytics or advertising, will be reflected here before they take effect.
