Terms of Use
BuildLumi provides free calculators and guides for planning construction and landscaping projects. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
What BuildLumi provides
The calculators, guides and other content on this site are free informational tools. They help you estimate quantities of materials. They are not professional advice, and they are not a substitute for the product label, your supplier or your local building department.
Estimates only, and your responsibility
Every result is an estimate based on the numbers you enter and on assumptions such as waste, density and product yield. Real jobs vary. You are responsible for checking results with your supplier, the manufacturer’s instructions, local codes and, where needed, a licensed professional before you buy materials or start work. See the calculation disclaimer.
No warranty
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We work to make the calculators accurate, but we do not promise that results are correct, complete or suitable for your project, or that the site will always be available or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, BuildLumi and the people who operate it are not responsible for any loss that results from using the site or relying on its results. That includes ordering too much or too little material, project delays, rework, repair costs and any indirect or consequential loss. Some places do not allow certain limits on liability, so part of this section may not apply to you.
Acceptable use
Please use the site for lawful purposes and do not try to disrupt it, overload it or gain access to anything you are not meant to see. Do not copy the site at scale or republish its content as your own.
Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the text, design, code and original tables on BuildLumi belong to BuildLumi or its licensors. You may use calculator results for your own projects and you may link to any page. If you want to reproduce substantial parts of the content, please ask first at [email protected]. Product and company names mentioned on the site belong to their owners and are used only to identify the documents we relied on. BuildLumi is not affiliated with them.
External links
Some pages link to websites we do not control, such as manufacturer data sheets and government publications. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and a link is not an endorsement.
Changes
We may change the site, the calculators or these terms at any time. The date at the top shows when the terms were last updated. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
